Thank you for posting this article regarding judges requesting appropriate documents before a lender is allowed to foreclosure.

I've been dealing with Wells Fargo for one year re loan modification. It has been a nightmare. In an attempt to get them to understand what this is like, I said that dealing with Stage 2 Cancer in 2008 was easier than negotiating with Wells Fargo throughout 2009 with a loan modification request. That is true. And I worked every day through treatments. I wasn't being dramatic and, until dealing with Wells Fargo, I was a private person.

I'm writing to stress the importance of forcing banks to shape up and produce appropriate paperwork.

Initially I thought the holders of our mortgages were corrupt; now I think they are staggeringly inept, which is a whole different matter, and which may be even worse. These are people holding the money of Americans, they expect us to toe the line at all turns, they have been given billions in federal (taxpayer) dollars, yet they do not have a clue as to what they are doing, they have a poor track record, they constantly and consistently lose paperwork . . . Who gives them charters? When are charters pulled?

Because of glitches with Wells Fargo in 2007 and 2008 (they lost mortgage payments), when they first lost my paperwork in December 2008 when I started the request for restructure, I started charting every conversation . . . I now have 9 pages, single spaced, of who said what to whom.

Wells Fargo is a mess. I assume other lenders are in the same poor shape. This is not acceptable in my world.

I hope media and legal authorities stay on them to begin acting professionally. They are making billions of money from people without having to answer to anyone.
